Carolyn Mcdonald started From grassroots community projects & podcasts, and now she is an awardwinning network TV film & documentary director. She studied at New York University’s Dramatic Writing/Film Program. she was involved in various stages of development & production on such films as (THE HANDMAID’S TALE), (MISSISSIPPI MASALA) and (Once Around).
coproduced the critically acclaimed Western BUFFALO SOLDIERS, and executive produced AMERICA’S DREAM. As a filmmaker, Carolyn produced, co-wrote and directed the short film P.N.O.K. She has also produced and directed a number of short documentaries.

Kazim Öz, who is known as a director, scenarist, editor, cinematographer and producer of many awarded films, was born in 1973 in Dersim in Turkey with a Kurdish origin. He started his career in 1992 by acting at Teatra Jiyana Nu and at the same time, he worked as a director. With his first short film Ax (The Land), he won recognition in national and international level and the movie was awarded in many festivals as the ‘’Best Short Film’’. His first feature-length film ‘’Fotoğraf (The Photograph)’’ is completed in 2001. Unfortunately, like some of his films, it was released in Turkey and Germany in 2002. In 2005, he won “The Best Documentary “prize with his first feature-length documentary film Dûr (The Far) in Nurnberg Turkey Germany Film Festival and in Ankara Film Festival. The film ‘’Bahoz (The Storm)’’ which is produced and directed by him, met with an audience of more than one hundred thousand after released in the year of 2008. He took a great attention by that film in Turkey.

Rhys Graham (born, 1974, Malaysia) is a Melbourne based filmmaker and writer whose work traverses drama and documentary. His feature films ‘Galore’ and ‘The Turning’ (co-director) premiered at Berlinale 2014. Among his feature documentaries, ‘Words From The City’ was nominated for 5 Australian Film Institute Awards.. presently directing the Netflix series ‘The Unlisted’ for release in 2018. He is also currently premiering his new feature documentary ‘Ranger to Ranger’.. He is a founder and director of Daybreak Films.

Ghassan is an award winning, British filmmaker from Syrian origin, who spent more than twenty years working in the film and TV industry between the Middle-East and Britain.
Graduated with an MA degree from the Northern Film School in Leeds – England.
He has directed many films and TV drama series such as the epic “Khalid ibn Al Waleed” and “Road Map”. Ghassan has also taught filmmaking during the last fifteen years on the prestigious MA course at the Northern Film School in England and in many other colleges in the Middle-East.
Regular participant in festivals as juror or lecturer.

Premendra Mazumder is working on cinema in versatile capacities. As a film critic writes extensively in
many publications worldwide. He is a
regular columnist and contributes his
weekly column on cinema in a daily
newspaper published from Kolkata.
He is the President of the Film Critics
Circle of India, Secretary of the Indian Film Critics Association and Executive Member of the India Chapter of FIPRESCI: Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique. He is working as the advisor, program director and curator for several International Film Festivals in home and abroad.
He has served in the Jury of many International Film Festivals of the world. He is an activist of the film society movement for more than four decades and was elected as the Asian Secretary of the International Federation of Film Societies. Presently he is holding the post of the Vice President of the Federation of Film Societies of India. He is based in Kolkata, India.

Mohammad Reza Aslani was born in Rasht, Iran, in 1943 and graduated in Art and painting from Teheran’s Faculty of decorative arts.
He spent his filmmaking training in the Ministry of Culture.
Aslani started his professional carrier in cinema in 1967 with the documentary film “Hasanlu Cup”, and then worked with another project “Child and exploitation (1982)”, a documentary made.

Author of the book about Women in the Kyrgyz cinema (2017)Author of monograph «Territory Kinostan: Kyrgyz cinema in the persons», Bishkek, 2009.Author of article “Kyrgyz cinema at the junction of the epochs (1988-1993) loss of a supporting point during the age of changes and the consequent finding of new hope» in the compilation, published by the IFF in Busan, 2013, “The Unknown New Wave of Central Asian Cinema”.

Frank took his first steps into the movie world during his university days where he founded the online film critic website kutsite.com (now called kutfilm.be) in 1999, at this time one of the largest movie review sites in Belgium. In 2004 he started working for the International Short Film Festival Leuven and the arthouse theatre Cinema ZED for which he did programming. In 2005 DOCVILLE was founded as a side project from Cinema ZED. As both festival grew, a distribution branch focussing on the distribution of short and documentary films was added. From 2017 on Frank’s main focus is DOCVILLE for which he is programming director.
In his (little) free time, he managed to produce his first documentary (Quantum Revolution) in 2015 and does consulting for festivals worldwide.

known as “Linda O.” is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable people in the short film industry. She managed the launch of shorts on iTunes for its first 5 years and has supported several films in their Oscar run which have gone onto become shortlisted or nominated. She has served on over 100 international film fest juries and panels throughout the world, offering distribution deals for iTunes, Amazon, and Oscar qualification. She holds an MA in film. She began her career as a documentary cameraman and photojournalist in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion and with the Totonacs in Mexico. Ako Aziz Mirza, born in 1963 in Slemani. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts, and also participated in a course about directing, screenplay, and lighting in Sweden. Ako has directed more than 10 plays, and directed his first feature film (Step) in 1995. He was involved in a number of films, documentaries and shortfilms as director, writer, actor, and manager.
His film (10 Seconds) participated in more than 12 international film festival and won 2 awards.

Film director, a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology (Faculty of Architecture) and the Film School in Łódź. He completed his studies at the Film School with a debut feature film “Przystań” (Harbour).
His next fuill feature movie „Trzeci” received Student’s Jury Prize in Pecs (Festival of the Young Film 2006).
He has also directed a crime comedy “Trick” awarded for best music at the Film Festival in Gdynia in 2010.
In 2015 his TV series “Time of Honour. The Warsaw Uprising “received the Eagle – Polish Film Award for best feature series. Currently he is directing a feature film about Tadeusz Kantor, famous Polish stage director, painter, set designer and writer.

Jyoti Mistry (Filmmaker )
Jyoti Mistry works in film both as a research form and as a mode of artistic practice. She has made critically acclaimed films in multiple genres.
Mistry has published widely on the topics of multiculturalism, identity politics, film practice and pedagogy, race and memory. Her books include: we remember differently: Race, Memory, Imagination(2012) a collection of essays inspired by her film which explores the complexity of racial identity in South Africa.
She has taught at New York University; University of Vienna; Arcada University of Applied Science Polytechnic in Helsinki, Nafti in Accra and ALLE Arts School at University of Addis Ababa. She is Professor in Film at Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and Visiting Professor at University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

Her next films Television (2012, Closing film, Busan International Film Festival) and No Bed of Roses (Winner, Jury prize, Moscow International Film Festival 2017) also got rave reviews from Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and Screen Daily. She had also served as the Cultural Ambassador for Republic of Korea in Bangladesh.

Chad is an award-winning writer, director, cinematographer, and editor who specializes in making narrative films as well as commercials and music videos.

Chad started as a still photographer when he was barely a teenager and transitioned into filmmaking over nine years ago. In that time, he has had the pleasure of working on several film projects as well as direct many of his own shorts along with his brother, Trey, and the Best Part Productions team. Trey and Chad started Best Part Productions in 2010 to pursue their lifelong dream of moviemaking together.

Chad’s shorts have won multiple awards in prestigious festivals around the world. Chad lives in Nashville with his wonderful wife, Trista.

Paola Orlić is the producer of the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb, art historian and independent curator. She graduated with a degree in art history and philosophy from the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and holds an MA from the College of Art, Ohio University. After returning to Croatia, she continued working as a freelancer on cultural and media projects and an associate at several prominent film festivals in Croatia. .

President of the Iranian Animated Film Association until 2018. Member of the International Association of animation filmmakers. Lecturer at the University of IRIB. Member of jury and selection committee at different festivals including Tehran International Short Film Festival, Rooyesh Religious Films, Shahr international film Festival and Etc. He has won different national and international Prizes such as: Best Animated Film from Tak International Film Festival, Best New Media animated film from Zagreb international film festival, technical and artistic achievement prize from the thirtieth international Fajr film Festival. His films have been selected in competition in many festivals such as Stuttgart, Anima, Zagreb, Las Vegas and Etc..

Jim Jermanok is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and speaker based in NY. He is currently directing and producing a feature documentary about the life and art of Oscar-winning actor Martin Landau featuring interviews by Chris Rock, Diane Ladd, Jon Voight, and Woody Allen. Mr. Jermanok wrote and produced the highly acclaimed romantic comedy, “Passionada,” which was released by Columbia Tri Star in over 150 countries. His film “Em”won the Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle International Film Festival. Jim also speaks and has conducted over 300 workshops worldwide on the subject of his 2017 bestseller, BEYOND THE CRAFT: What You Need to Know to Make A Living Creatively!.
